Welcome to Our "Summer School Adventures" Month!
This month, our regular schedule transforms into a special “Summer School Adventure”! It’s a month packed with dynamic, hands-on daily themes designed to be a fun and memorable end to our summer. We will embark on a journey that begins with special creative projects to spark imagination, travels to far-off lands in an imaginary trip around the world, and culminates in a grand summer festival to celebrate our community. Our primary focus remains on developing key foundational skills, with each new adventure providing a playful backdrop for your child to grow socially, creatively, and physically.
Here’s a glimpse of what your toddler will be experiencing:
Weeks 1 & 2: August 1st - August 8th (Focus: Creative Minds & Secret Agents)
Our first two weeks are dedicated to strengthening cognitive and creative abilities through a series of engaging daily themes.
- Fostering Creativity & Problem-Solving: We will focus on imaginative play and simple problem-solving. This helps develop early critical thinking and spatial awareness as they navigate challenges and build structures.
- Promoting Sensory Exploration: This theme provides rich tactile experiences. These activities are crucial for sensory development, helping children process and understand their world through touch.
- Developing Artistic Expression & Fine Motor Skills: We will encourage self-expression through art. This builds creativity and strengthens the small hand muscles needed for future writing.
There will be a Summer Break from August 11th to August 15th with no school during this week.
Week 3: August 18th - August 22nd (Focus: Summer Trip Around the World)
During our imaginary global journey, we will focus on building awareness of the wider world and practicing physical skills.
- Building Cultural Awareness & Gross Motor Skills: We introduce the idea of a bigger world through animals and sounds. We will also practice large muscle movements like jumping and walking in new ways, which improves coordination and balance.
- Developing Fine Motor Skills: Through daily craft activities, your toddler will practice grasping, gluing, and manipulating small objects, which builds hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
Week 4: August 25th - August 29th (Focus: Our Grand Summer Matsuri!)
Our final week is a school-wide festival, providing a perfect opportunity for toddlers to practice social skills in a group setting.
- Fostering Teamwork & Community: We will practice working in a group towards a common goal. This builds foundational social skills like sharing, waiting for a turn, and celebrating together.
- Developing Rhythm & Coordination: Through music and a simple group dance, we will work on listening skills and moving our bodies in time with a beat, which enhances body awareness and coordination.
We are looking forward to an adventurous month of discovery with your toddlers!
